As with every single custom opportunity we take on, the front end planning is paramount to the success of the project.
Dave Spetrino knew when he purchased land downtown that he would need to design his personal home to fit within the fabric of the Historic District. For that very reason, there is no detail that is missed in this modern representation of a 1920’s Craftsman style brick home. Visitors are always amazed that this residence was built in the past decade.
Fun facts: Due to the history of the property and before any type of construction could begin, we needed to conduct an archeological dig which yielded valuable history of the site, 2 cisterns, and approximately 60 glass bottles–many of which were donated to the city. We also had a celebration for the downtown neighbors and local dignitaries in which Dave and Kyle buried a time capsule in the backyard, to be opened by the Spetrino sons in 2047.
